How Reading + AI works

Reading + AI opens a paper, article or discussion as a clean reading view beside notes you can edit and come back to. This page describes what the product does today.

What you can open

  • arXiv papers, by ID or by an arxiv.org link.
  • Hacker News discussions are not available yet.
  • Article sites are not available yet.

Without an account

  • You can read the sample papers listed on the home page. Nothing you do there is saved.
  • You can read the headlines of Agent Eng News, with why they matter and links to the original sources.

With an account

  • Opening a source prepares it once and writes a first summary for you — Standard, or the playful Meow style if you choose it in Settings.
  • Your notes are tied to your account and listed in your Library.
  • You can export notes to Markdown, or to Notion and Obsidian. Notion export runs only after you connect your Notion workspace.
  • AI questions and rewrites inside notes are enabled per account. Every account gets the summary and the editor.

Limits

To keep the service responsive, each account can start up to 10 new articles or discussions per 10 minutes, with at most 2 being prepared at the same time.

Figures

Figures and tables from arXiv papers are stored as public images so they load quickly in the reader.
