When "Must" Becomes "Maybe": Erosion of Workflow Constraints in LLM Agent Handoffs
An LLM-agent handoff can preserve a safety blocker’s words while losing its force: a prerequisite that must be met becomes a caveat the next agent may set aside.
Why it matters: Checking only whether the endpoint takes a permitted action can miss damage in the handoff itself. The abstract shows why reliable collaboration must preserve both an earlier judgment and its force over later actions.
