Planning under Noise with Neural Operators
An arXiv abstract introduces PUN, which learns noise-aware value fields and uses bounded local search to plan under uncertain control execution.
Why it matters: For agent builders, PUN’s reported results suggest a way to amortize costly Monte Carlo field computation while planning under execution noise in unseen geometries. Its use of predicted global fields plus bounded local search also addresses the abstract’s concern that local Monte Carlo fluctuations can reverse gradient directions and cause failures.
